In case you missed it, Two Rivers Country Club Director of Special Events Haley Hogan was on The Hampton Roads Show this morning to discuss Wedding and Reception Trends for 2014 and used the great sunset shot by HHP throughout the segment.
Great tips for any newly engaged couples!

2013 was also a great year for family and newborn portraits at Heather Hughes Photography. I got to see a lot of old friends with their quickly growing families, and meet a few new ones! With newborn portraits in Virginia Beach and Norfolk, and family portraits in Williamsburg and Yorktown, it was a great fall. Looking forward to more babies & family portraits this spring! http://www.heatherhughesphotography.com/

My favorite part about family portraits – the funny moments! This Williamsburg family portrait is a perfect example, taken by Williamsburg photographer Heather Hughes Photography.
Love the tender touch on dad’s face, and getting together with families I know & love in Williamsburg. Photographed by Williamsburg photographer Heather Hughes Photography.
Taylor & Conor were married in Hilton village in Newport News and held their reception at the always beautiful Newport News Marriott. Lots of great photos from this wedding, great couple, great location, and one of the best garter catch photos I’ve ever seen! (kudos to my husband!) We snuck to this gorgeous location behind an elementary school for a few wedding portraits after the Newport News wedding ceremony in Hilton village.

Ashley & Craig were married in Norfolk in the beautiful gardens at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. The weather proved to be a little unpredictable, and it rained just long enough to get everyone wet during the processional but everyone remained in good spirits and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Angie & Ernie were married at the new Hellenic Center in Williamsburg and had a beautiful Greek wedding, one of the first ones in the new church and at this new reception venue! We had a busy day, so they set aside a little time a couple days later and we did wedding portraits around Colonial Williamsburg which was really great since we rarely have more than 20 min. for portraits on the wedding day. The vintage theme has been a popular one, and beautiful bride Elisa found ways to incorporate it throughout her entire day for her beach wedding in Nags Head, NC. The rain moved us from the beach under the tent but it didn’t damper the fun and the dancing continued late into the night!

I was SO excited to return to The Signature at West Neck for Verena & Ross’s Virginia Beach wedding. It is a gorgeous venue and the rain held off until the very end of the reception so we had perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony. And bride Verena was super prepared and even brought along a great “Just Married” sign for some fun portraits. Thank you for a great day & enjoy the show!
The moment every groom is waiting for, the first kiss! You can really feel the love between these two in this moment, love it.
Love Jasmine Plantation for weddings of all sizes! Patrick & Julie’s was very intimate so they had their ceremony in the living room and then ventured into the heat for a few portraits. Looking forward to coming back to Providence Forge soon!
Unconcerned with tradition, Patrick & Julie enjoy a quick moment alone right before walking down the aisle to tie the knot in the living room at the Historic Jasmine Plantation.
So many great wedding venues in Williamsburg! I was happy to be there again after Sara & Chris had to move their wedding date up from November. Best wishes again to both of you and enjoy your wedding slide show!
Always a tough call, Chris played it safe and didn’t smash the wedding cake, but Sara had other ideas.
Thank you so much Mary & Joel for a great August wedding! It took me a couple extra days, but there are over 700 photos that I retouched and just finished uploading to Pictage! Check out the short slide show for a sneak preview and see them all online tomorrow!
Photo Booths aren’t just great for all your guests, they can make the perfect intimate setting for a few fly-on-the-wall portraits.
